An easy dessert that you can prepare faster then you would think! Try the Banana Penguins today!
Slice the banana in half. If the banana is tilted a little, you can cut off from it like in the picture below. This way you can make sure that the penguins stand up straight.
Tip: Put the banana into the refrigerator before the preparation, because you can work with it more easily when it’s cold. It also doesn’t become brown and the chocolate sticks to it more easily.
Melt the chocolate above hot steam. Just like in the video, dip the two ends of the banana into the chocolate, and use the white chocolate for the eyes of the penguin (you can also make pupils with regular chocolate).
Now comes the feet and beak of the penguin. Cut a dried apricot in half, which will be the feet, then cut the another apricot into four equal pieces, of which one will be the beak.
To attach the feet and the beak, dip the dried apricots into melted chocolate and stick them to their proper place.
The banana penguin is complete!
If you also want to make small strawberry figurines, dip them into chocolate and make eyes and mouths for them.
