Apple rose tart recipe: Preparing the Apple rose tart is simpl! First, wash and core the apples.
Cut the cored apples in half, slice into small pieces.
Put the apple slices in a bowl. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and lemon juice, let it rest 30 minutes. It’ll leave time for the apple to leak juice.
Melt butter in a bowl.
Add apple juice to melted butter.
Then bring to a boil.
Put the puff pastry in a pie pan, grease with egg yolk.
Add apple slices to the pie pan in a way to get rose petal shapes.
Add boiled butter-apple juice mixture.
Cover with aluminum foil. Put in preheated (360 degrees F) oven, bake for 30-40 minutes.
Remove the foil and brush the top with apricot jam.
Bake for another 10-15 minutes.
