Beetroot Preserves recipe: Preparing the Beetroot Preserves is easy! First, wash the beetroots, then put them in a pot and add as much water as necessary to cover them. Cook for 1 hour, then remove from the water and let it cool down.
Combine 4 cups of water, sugar, salt, caraway and vinegar. Bring it to a boil, then let it cool down after boiling.
Peel the beetroots, then cut into slices with a serrated knife.
Put beetroots in sterilized jars, then add the cooled down inlet until it covers them. Seal with foil and the lid.
Put the jars in a pot, separate them with a dishcloth to prevent colliding. Add water to fill up ¾ part of the jars, then bring to a boil. Cook for 10 more minutes after boiling, then let it cool down in a dry place.
