Have all your ingredients ready and let’s begin! First, separate the egg whites from the yolks. Combine yolks with diced, soft butter, vanilla sugar, powdered sugar. Use a hand blender until foamy.
Combine the whites with sugar, whisk until thick.
Carefully add the cream.
Combine flour with baking powder, slowly add to the mixture.
Spread half the mixture in a pan lined with parchment, drop cherries on top and zest a lemon.
Spread the other half evenly, drop rest of the cherries on top.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F, bake for 35-40 minutes.
When the top is nice and golden, cover the top with parchment paper and bake for another 10 minutes.
Let it cool down and it’s ready to serve.
