There is hardly anyone who doesn’t know, or doesn’t like the classic Linzer cookies. It’s impossible to mess up this recipe!
Linzer cookies recipe: Preparing the Linzer cookies is simple! First, sift flour and combine with diced butter.
Add powdered sugar, egg yolk and lemon zest.
Wrap in foil and put in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Flatten on a slightly floured surface until very thin.
Cut with a round linzer cutter and put in a pan lined with parchment.
Bake at 360 degrees F for 10 minutes.
Brush the top with slightly whipped egg white, then bathe in sugar-walnut mix.
Wait until cooled down, then stick two pieces of round linzer dough together with jam.
